Visit the Legend’s Cab
60103 FLYING SCOTSMAN
It’s a childhood dream for many to sit in the driver’s seat of Flying Scotsman. We can make that dream a reality this May with our ‘Visit the Legends Cab’ events at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.
Along with unlimited travel on our trains for the day, you will receive a timed slot to visit the cab of Flying Scotsman with one of our experienced locomotive experts giving an explanation of the controls.
The loco will be alive with a fire in its belly and all the smells of coal, steam and oil that come with it, a truly multisensory experience!
DATES: 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th & 11th May

The perfect spots to stop along the railway for a bite to eat, a brew or a pint.
The Old Parcels Office overlooks Keighley Station from the bridge between Platforms 3 and 4, providing the perfect location to grab a bite to eat or drink between the trains.
Throughout the day, you can sit back and relax with a choice of coffees, including tasty Gingerbread or Caramel Lattes. If you fancy Tea instead, you’ll be able to have a proper Yorkshire Brew with Taylor’s of Harrogate. Not forgetting the kids, they’ll be able to enjoy a Hot Chocolate topped with whipped cream!
The Old Parcels Office will serve meals all day to keep you fuelled up, from a light bite to a three-course meal, depending on how much fuel you need!
If you are looking for a light bite, you’ll be drawn to the Sandwiches, Salads and Jacket Potatoes with various fillings and flavours, hopefully, something for everyone. If you are after ‘something proper’, look no further than The Firebox Braised Steak or The Drivers Roast, not forgetting The Firemans Roast for the kids…
If you have worked up a thirst with all the comings and goings of Steam Trains, hand-pulled real ale, a choice of real bottled ale, lagers, and ciders will quench your thirst.
